February 9, 2023 – The Fresno Police Department reported that on Tuesday, the Traffic Unit followed up on investigative leads from illegal side shows. Officers were able to locate three additional vehicles that were directly involved in the illegal activity.
The Dodge Ram and the Dodge Challenger were involved in an intersection takeover at Blackstone Avenue and Shaw Avenue. The vehicles were observed and captured on video performing “burnouts and donuts” in the center of the intersection. The vehicles were impounded for 30 days. During an inventory search of the Dodge Ram, a loaded firearm was located inside the vehicle. The firearm was found to be reported stolen. The owner of the vehicle was arrested and booked on several gun related charges.
The white Honda was involved in an intersection take over located at Hazelwood Avenue and Butler Avenue that occurred back on October 29th of last year. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

VC 2309(a) A person shall not engage in a motor vehicle speed contest on a highway (which is any public roadway) or in an off-street parking facility.
VC 2309(b) A person shall not aid or abet in any motor vehicle speed contest on a highway or in an off-street parking facility.
VC 2309(d) A person shall not, for the purpose of facilitating or aiding or as an incident to any motor vehicle speed contest or exhibition upon a highway or in an off-street parking facility, in any manner obstruct or place a barricade or obstruction or assist or participate in placing a barricade or obstruction upon a highway or in an off-street parking facility.
