February 20, 2023 - Fresno Police Department officials report on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 10:46 pm, Northwest Policing District officers responded to the Herndon Place Shopping Center located in the 6700 block of North Milburn Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim.

When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Felix Hawkins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers and EMS personnel rendered medical aid. Hawkins was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene at 11:02 pm.

While officers were on scene, another shooting victim, 32-year-old Akili Moffett, arrived at CRMC. Mofffet was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper body. CRMC personnel provided medical aid. Moffet was unable to survive his injury and was pronounced deceased at 11:06 pm.

Detectives learned both Moffett and Hawkins were at “The O” Hookah Lounge when gunshots were fired.

Detectives are in the process of interviewing witnesses and locating video surveillance in hopes of identifying those involved. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to please contact the Fresno Police Department.
