...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snow
  melt is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
  counties, Fresno, Madera, Mariposa and Merced.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry creek beds.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 204 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Madera, Chowchilla, Madera Acres, Yosemite Lakes, Parksdale,
    Parkwood, Bonadelle Ranchos-Madera Ranchos, Mariposa,
    Planada, Catheys Valley, Le Grand, Lake McClure, Millerton
    Lake and Friant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
