March 24, 2023 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that a man has died after being struck in a hit & run vehicle collision. He has been identified as 48-year-old Jaime Loza of Del Rey.

This case is being investigated as a homicide. Sheriff’s homicide detectives have arrested the man responsible. Rolando Sanchez, 54, of Del Rey (pictured) has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a FCSO Sanchez murdercharge of murder.

Around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th, sheriff’s dispatchers received a report of a man in the road suffering from injuries after a vehicle struck him near Carmel and Morro Avenues in Del Rey.
