Sierra Foothill Charter School held Back to School Night for families and community members on Tuesday, September 1.
After introductions and welcomes in the multipurpose room, families had the opportunity to listen to teacher presentations in each classroom, check out band instruments, buy dinner from Tacos Sonora, and visit with friends and neighbors. SFCS Principal Alfonso Garagarza welcomes families and introduces this year's staff members. Jim DuBois and his children Jaden (tallest), Dillon, and Stella check out Dillon's desk in Mrs. Baumann's first and second grade classroom. Jeanine Solis writes her name down as a possible volunteer as other parents look on in Ms. Starchman's third and fourth grade classroom. Sayer Harry checks out a flute before deciding that's the instrument he wants to play in the SFCS band this year. Gottschalks was on campus with plenty of instruments for students to try before making their decision.
