April 13, 2023 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials announce a Cowboy's Honor Ride for Fallen Selma Police Officer Gonzalo Carrasco Jr.

Horseback riders and wagons please join our procession of mourners as we ride to honor Selma Police Department Officer Gonzalo Carrasco Jr. on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

This is a free event. The ride is open to sworn, non-sworn and civilian riders. Horse staging area is the Selma Unified School District Transportation Yard at 1100 Valley View Ave. in Selma. All horse participants must arrive by 10:00 am and sign-in to get their ride pass. At 12:00 p.m., assemble for invocation, National Anthem, and ride instructions.

Spectators are encouraged to line up along the route at 12:15 pm. Feel free to waive flags and blue ribbons.

The route will head north on Dockery Ave, then west on Mill St. At Selma St., the ride continues north alongside Lincoln Park to Rose Ave. It will then travel east on Rose Ave., south on Dockery and finish at the staging area on Valley View.
