Traffic Restrictions in Mariposa County Beginning Sunday, April 16 Through Saturday, April 22

April 7, 2023 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following work scheduled on State caltrans signRoutes 49 and 140 next week in Mariposa County.

Route 49

  • One-way traffic control at Peak View Road for utility work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023.

  • One-way traffic control from Drunken Gulch Road to the Merced River Bridge in Bagby for geotechnical work beginning Sunday, April 16, through Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.One-way traffic control from Drunken Gulch Road to the Merced River Bridge in Bagby for geotechnical work beginning Sunday, April 16, through Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Route 140

  • The left and right shoulders will be closed from Cobey Lane to Oak Road in Midpines for utility work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

  • One-way traffic control from Colorado Road to Foresta Road for slide removal beginning Sunday, April 16, through Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays and are advised to use alternate routes, whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
