April 24, 2023 - National Weather Service Hanford Office officials report a Flood Watch will be in effect from early Thursday morning through Tuesday morning through Yosemite National Park.

Snowmelt due to much warmer than normal temperatures are projected to melt snow, leading to rises in creeks, streams, and rivers through the park.

...FLOOD WATCH FOR SNOWMELT IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
THROUGH TUESDAY, MAY 02...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
  areas, Yosemite NP outside of the valley and Yosemite Valley.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through Tuesday, May 02.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  This includes Yosemite National Park, as well as Pohono Bridge in
  Yosemite Valley.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - An extended period of very warm temperatures will cause rapid
    snow melt which is expected to cause flooding along waterways
    in Yosemite National Park.
