High-Country Health Food and Cafe in Mariposa California

April 27, 2023 - Mariposa County Sheriff's Office officials report that the Mariposa County Deputy Sheriff's Association (DSA) has been hit hard with bad news recently. Not one but two of its members are battling cancer issues.

Custodial Deputy Nick Osenbaugh has been battling medical issues for months now but was recently diagnosed with at least one form of cancer. Nick has already exhausted his leave banks as he has been dealing with these issues and now his wife, Dani, will need to take time out of her public service job to help him with his out-of-the-area treatments and care for their two young children.

Deputy Jose Garcia is also taking time to help his wife, Bionca, with her battle with cancer. Jose and Bionca have four children at home that have needed care while their parents have been in and out of the hospital. Jose and Bionca are no stranger to this fight as they lost a child to cancer years ago.

The Mariposa County Deputy Sheriff’s Association will be hosting a golf tournament on Sunday, June 11th to raise finances to help support the Osenbaugh and Garcia families during this difficult time. All proceeds from the tournament will go to the families.

If you are interested in registering a team (4 players), donating a raffle prize, or sponsoring a hole, please contact Pamela Kurtley at (209) 347-3350.
