Traffic Restrictions This Week in Mariposa County
for April 30-May 6, 2023

April 28, 2023 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following operations scheduled on State Route 140 this week in Mariposa County.

  • Full highway closure from Fifth Street to Route 140 North in Mariposa for a special event from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

  • One-way traffic control from Colorado Road to Foresta Road east of Briceburg for slide removal beginning Sunday, April 30, through Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • One-way traffic control from the Merced/Mariposa County Line to east of Trower Road for highway construction beginning Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays or longer at times and are advised to use alternate routes, whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
