ABC's On the Right Track Event - Success!
April 28, 2023 - The MCHS Academic Boosters Club (ABC) held its inaugural On the Right Track event for Mariposa County High School juniors and seniors on Thursday, April 27, on the school's upper field.
On the Right Track is like a life-sized game of Life. Students were presented with real-world scenarios and followed paths where they interacted with organizations and companies that could meet their needs. Scenarios included things like how to find a job, buy a car, take out a loan, get insurance, get married, buy a house, handle a trip to the emergency room, go on a trip out of the country, and so much more.
Twenty partners participated in helping students navigate real-life scenarios meant to help prepare them for life after high school. Mariposa County provided backpacks for students to put materials gathered at the event. Supervisors Wayne Forsythe, Danette Toso, and Clerk of the Board Danielle Bondshu represented the County Seat.
After working through the scenarios, students enjoyed the lunch ABC provided from the Mariposa Fry Bread Company.
