September 12, 2015 - As of Saturday evening the Rough Fire is at 128,796 acres with 29% containment.
Hopewell Road Placed Under Evacuation Warning
On Saturday, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies issued evacuation warnings for the area along Hopewell Road north of Highway 180 and east to the Sequoia National Forest boundary.
The Sheriff’s Office would also like to warn hunters and other off-road enthusiasts to drive carefully and have a heightened awareness of fire personnel actively working in the area, particularly in Balch Camp.
All other previously issued evacuation notices, mandatory and warning, remain in effect.

Weather Concerns | High pressure remains over Nevada and the Sierra. A low aloft will spin a couple weak waves over the area. A gradual cooling trend will continue through Tuesday, with slowly rising relative humidity values. Fair relative humidity recovery tonight. Winds remain terrain and diurnally driven. Inversion and thermal belt will form overnight trapping smoke. High temperatures will range 80-90 with lows 60-70. Relative humidity values will range teens to around 30 percent. |
