September 16, 2015 - CAL FIRE Valley Fire in Lake County Wednesday Morning Update has the fire at 70,000 acres, 30% contained and 585 homes destroyed.

Napa County Road Closures:
Butts Canyon at Aetna Springs Rd; SR 29 at Tubbs Lane.

Sonoma County Road Closures (open to residents only):
Ida Clayton Rd at SR 128; Geysers Rd at Red Winery; Pine Flat Rd at Red Winery; Geysers Rd at River Rd.  

Injuries: 4 firefighters, 1 civilian fatality  
Cause: Under Investigation

Conditions: Fire behavior was moderate throughout the day due to cooler weather. A chance of rain exists tonight. Rain may assist firefighter’s efforts on strengthening and constructing additional fire line. Firefighters continue to focus on public’s safety, structural defense, and perimeter control. 585 homes have been destroyed by the Valley Fire and hundreds of other structures are known to have been destroyed as well. Residents of the Riviera Communities were allowed to return to their homes today.*** Damage Assessment teams continue to collect information in the affected fire areas as access becomes available***
