During August 2015, 470 residents were unemployed. A drop of 24.2% from August 2014 when 620 residents were unemployed.
The Leisure and Hospitality industry with 2,360 workers during August 2015 employed 20 fewer workers (-.8%) than during July 2015 when 2,380 workers were in the industry. Compared to August 2014 the Leisure and Hospitality industry employed 140 fewer workers (-5.6%) when the industry employed 2,500 workers.
The Government employed 9.0% more workers during August 2015 (2,290) than in August 2014 when 2,100 people were employed in Government jobs.
Construction employment in August 2015 was up 13.3% over August 2014 with 170 employees compared to 150 during August 2014.
The Civilian Labor Force came in at 8,760 during August 2015. The Labor Force decreased by 50 (-0.6%) from August 2014 when the Labor Force was at 8,810.
There were 8,290 employees in the county during August 2015, an increase of 100 employees in the county over August 2014 when 8,190 residents were working in the county. That results in a year to year increase of 1.2%
