The Mariposa County Republican Central Committee held a Straw Poll during the Mariposa County Fair.  Registered Republican and Independent voters were encouraged to stop by the Republican fair booth and vote in the Poll.  

Each person voted for the Candidate they would support if the election were held today.  Dr. Ben Carson won the weekend Poll by 6 votes.  Dr. Carson had 36% of the votes, Donald Trump 35%, and Carly Fiorina 10%.

A total of 639 people voted, percentages were:

Carson 36%
Trump 35%
Fiorina 10%
Cruz 6%
Bush 3%
Rubio 3%
Walker 1%
Christie 1%
Jindal and Santorum less than 1%

The 2016 election year is going to be exciting.  The Mariposa County Republican Central Committee encourages you to get involved.  We need your participation and help.  Don't sit back and complain, join the fight!
