On Sunday, October 4th the MLJC will be celebrating the end of Sukkot as well as Simchat Torah, which occurs on the Jewish calendar just 2 days later at a potluck brunch gathering in Jamestown.  The group will learn about the history and traditions of these two holidays and then after brunch, two ceremonies linked to these holidays will take place.  Anyone interested can register at the new MLJC website: MotherLodeJewishCommunity.org or call 209-533-1650 to learn more.

A special Brush and Cork session, where participants will have a “grown-up paint by numbers” art class focusing on Chanukah will take place at the studio of Sonora artist, Judy Grossman, on Sunday, November 15th.  The cost is $38 and the deadline to register is Monday, October 26th.  You can register online at: MotherLodeJewishCommunity.org, contact the MLJC or call: 209-533-1650.  This will also be a pot-luck brunch.
