June 12, 2023 - Yosemite National Park officials report that it’s no secret that Yosemite’s 800 miles of trails have seen a hard winter. With crews prepping to get to work as the snow melts, it’s going to take a heroic effort to move supplies for the task at hand... and our heroes have arrived! Back from winter pasture, our mules and their packers will be working hard all summer, doing essential work to preserve our trails and the wilderness experience that these provide.
Our Junior Rangers worked hard to help mark the occasion, surprising the herd with this original artwork. Thanks, mules! A special thanks to Yosemite Conservancy for generously supporting these hard-working animals; we’re grateful every mile of the way!
