September 2015 - SACRAMENTO - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. has announced the following appointments.

Kevin Day, 55, of Tuolumne, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2004. Day has been tribal chairman of the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council since 1996. He was an officer at the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority Governing Board from 2000 to 2004 and served as a correctional officer at the Sierra Conservation Center from 1991 to 2000. He is a member of the Sierra Conservation Center Citizens Advisory Committee, U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs Advisory Board and the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce. Day is vice chair of the Central California Tribal Chairman's Association. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Day is a Republican.

Tom Miller, 64, of Sonora, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors. Miller was an owner and x-ray technician at Fremont Dental X-Ray from 1979 to 2013. He earned a Specialist in Education degree from the University of California, Berkeley Extension. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Miller is registered without party preference.

Maren Paris, 36, of Sonora, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors. Paris is a volunteer master gardener for the University of California Cooperative Extension, Tuolumne County Master Gardeners. She is a countywide gardening project leader at the Tuolumne County 4-H. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Paris is registered without party preference.
