September 21, 2015 - Tenaya Fire: Firefighters continue to patrol. Now staffed with Folsom Type 2 crew. Patrol and suppression repair work will continue. All trails through the area are open with signage for hazards. Firefighters found 1 smoking tree within the interior of the fire.
Middle Fire: 134 acres with slow growth to the northeast. Staffed with the Bandelier Wildland Fire Module.
White Cascade Fire: still active in Tuolumne Meadows area, smoldering and creeping in dead and down fuels. 49 acres, 25% active, mostly backing into Conness Creek and a little to the South.
Cathedral Fire: remains active on the North and South side. Smoldering in dead and down and duff.
Smoke production is minimal from all fires and air quality remains good. Cooler weather is predicted with cloud cover Monday through Wednesday. Rain is not in the forecast.
