Seeking Suspect ID
June 30, 2023 - Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that between 12:30-12:50 a.m. on June 28, 2023, two vehicles at two different addresses in Tesoro Viejo were burglarized. Video footage of the first burglary shows a light complected Hispanic Male Adult approach an (unlocked) SUV parked in the driveway of a residence, and removing a baby carrier, and leaving the area on foot.
Minutes later, a pickup truck at a nearby residence was broken into. A rear passenger window was broken, and several tools from inside the pickup were taken. Although we are not able to see the suspect of the burglary of the pickup truck, video footage shows a U-Haul panel van (Ford Transit) that is believed to be involved in the burglary. The U-Haul van had the lights off during the incident and is suspected to have a second subject in it (driver).
We are asking the community for help in identifying the suspect(s). The subject seen in the first burglary is described as a light complected Hispanic male adult, approximate 5’7”-6’0” tall, and was wearing a brown trucker hat, brown t-shirt, long sleeve with different tones of brown plaid shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
Attached to this post is a still photograph from the video of the suspect, as well as a still photograph from the video of what is believed to be the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact Madera County Sheriff’s Deputy Ochoa at (559)706-2445 or David.Ochoa@maderacounty.com, or Detective Padgett at LPadgett@maderacounty.com.
