The fire began July 3, 2023, and is currently 83 acres and 20% contained. The location of the fire is the North Fork Area of eastern Madera County (located in the 59000 block of Road 225). The Whiskey Fire is being managed under unified command between the Sierra National Forest, Cal Fire, and the Madera County Sheriff's Office.
