July 10, 2023 - Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office officials report that in the early overnight hours of Saturday, July 8, 2023, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were dispatched to the Driftwood Inn located at 1024 South 9^th Street in Modesto regarding a female who had been shot.

Natasha Irizarry, a 34-year-old Ceres resident, was located on-scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were attempted, but unfortunately Natasha succumbed to her injuries. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
