July 11, 2023 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, Deputy Jonathan Davis was dispatched to a call of multiple puppies on the side of the road. He arrived at W. South Ave., between S. Bryan and S. Hayes, near Raisin City and found three puppies. Deputy Davis, who is not a K-9 handler, flexed his charming skills, rounded up the pups and convinced them to take a ride in his patrol vehicle. He then transported them to Fresno Humane Animal Services for safe keeping.
