July 11, 2023 - National Weather Service Hanford Office officials report an Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for most of Central California from 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning until 8:00 P.M. Monday evening.
Dangerous heat will result in a major to extreme risk for heat-related illnesses for much of the population, especially those who are heat sensitive and those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.
Heat-related impacts are possible if simple precautions are not taken. Plan to take action to reduce time outdoors, stay hydrated, and remain in air-conditioned buildings.
As always, never, ever leave a child or pet in an enclosed automobile.
