Drowning Victim Recovered
July 15, 2023 - Calaveras County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Monday, July 10th, 2023, the Calaveras, and Tuolumne County Marine Safety Units, in conjunction with Ralston 
Underwater Search and Recovery Team, located and recovered 39-year-old drowning victim Sina Maleki of the Netherlands.
The Ralston Underwater Search and Recovery Team is a private organization that leverages technology, such as specialized sonar and remote-operated vehicles (ROVs), to conduct thorough searches at depths reaching several hundred feet beneath the water's surface.
On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, at approximately 5:00 P.M., the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office received a report regarding a drowning incident at the New Melones Reservoir.
