July 17, 2023 - Placer County Sheriff's Office officials reports that they are pleased to announce a significant breakthrough in a recent burglary case that occurred in May, where a home in Granite Bay was broken into. Placer County Sheriff’s detectives have identified a sophisticated burglary crew operating out of southern California, responsible for numerous burglaries across California, Oregon, and Washington.

In a collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, detectives successfully apprehended one of the crew members, 34-year-old Martin Ignacio Jimenez-Rojas, who was arrested in Daly City by Daly City police officers. Jimenez-Rojas was then extradited to Placer County, where he was booked into the South Placer Jail for a felony warrant for first-degree burglary.

Our dedicated detectives continue to work diligently on identifying additional suspects involved in these crimes, and they are also collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to link Jimenez-Rojas to further burglaries he may have committed.
