Guests enjoy 2014 Coulterville Christmas Dinner
A new generation of volunteers have stepped up to organize the Coulterville Community Club’s Holiday dinner that will take place on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 as part of Christmas in Coulterville! Kamarah Guerrero has volunteered to organize the event and has gathered a few other volunteers to work with her.
What is needed now are donations and volunteers to staff the event. The Don Pedro Rattler 4H Club has already indicated they will once again help serve and a few other “regulars” have committed, but we still need people to assist with set-up, serving and clean-up as well as cooking items donated in advance by people who will not be in town on the 19th and thus cannot prepare the items they are donating…ovens for roasting turkeys and hams as well as possibly sweet potatoes and some desserts are needed!
A great time to pick up something to contribute to the community dinner is during the Thanksgiving pre and post sales. We primarily need whole turkeys, center cut hams and desserts, but also can use canned or frozen vegetables, cranberry sauce, butter, milk (yes, it does freeze!), rolls, whipped cream, punch, paper goods, etc. Until the group can get really organized, you can call me, Mike Kambeitz, CCC president @ 209-658-0150 or Dale Silverman @ 209-878-3750 and let them know if you want to volunteer your time, your kitchen and/or supplies! Remember, this event is for everyone in the community that day…residents, their friends and families and visitors from around the world who want to experience an American Country Christmas.
