August 4, 2023 - SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On Friday, Aug. 4, the Bureau of Reclamation’s California-Great Basin Region will celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act at New Melones Lake, Lake Berryessa, and Stony Gorge Reservoir by waiving day use fees at all three recreation areas.
Since the implementation of the GAOA in 2021, tremendous progress has been made in preserving and enhancing the quality of our public lands for everyone. Through the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund, GAOA helps the Department of the Interior complete maintenance and repair projects, large-scale infrastructure improvements, historic preservation activities, and improve accessibility features.
