August 11, 2023 - Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that last week, Detective Gutierrez was made aware of a stolen tractor on a property in Volta near Los Banos. The Merced County Sheriff's Office Investigations Bureau and patrol deputies served a search warrant and located multiple stolen items.

During the investigation, they successfully recovered almost one million dollars in stolen agricultural equipment. This investigation is ongoing, and our Investigations Bureau is working tirelessly to find the individuals responsible.
