August 12, 2023 - MADERA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), along with Cal Valley Construction, announces that the traffic signal at State Route caltrans logo41 and Avenue 15 will be flashing red during overnight hours starting Wednesday, August 16th.

The following will occur:

  • The light will start flashing red each night starting at 8:00 P.M., beginning Wednesday, August 16th
  • It will continue to flash until 6:00 A.M. each following morning.
  • This will occur every night, during the week, until Friday morning, August 18, at 6:00 A.M.
  • It will only be flashing red each night from 8:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. the following morning.

This is necessary, as the paving project on State Route 41, at Avenue 15, continues to progress.

The time frame of the flashing light may be extended, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur.

Caltrans reminds you to drive with extra care and allow additional time while travelling near construction zones. Please be alert for construction personnel and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
