August 17, 2023 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Monday, there was a fire in the area of the 27900 block of Whitesbridge and Cal Fire put it out. It scorched a power pole, weakening it.

On Wednesday, a woman and her dog were walking in this area around 5:00 a.m. It appears the pole and wires recently fell to the ground and she did not see them due to darkness and walked into the live wires, killing her and the dog.
