September 7, 2023 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Tuesday night, Deputy Shipman made a traffic stop on a cargo van at I-5 and Jayne Ave., near Coalinga.  While contacting the driver, Deputy Shipman discovered the van was transporting marijuana in large garbage bags.  There were a total of 52 bags, weighing 1,200 pounds.

41-year-old Sarah Roland of Grass Valley, CA was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of transporting marijuana for sales.  She was issued a citation with an order to appear in court.  Narcotics detectives assisted to seize and destroy the marijuana.

Under California's Proposition 64, it is legal for a person 21 or older to possess one ounce of marijuana.
