Northside Pet ConnectionNPC had a successful annual dinner in Coulterville on September 11, 2015 including a brief business meeting. We were pleased to conduct our usual raffle, which had as its centerpiece a one-hour ride above Yosemite in a two-seater airplane owned by two NPC members. The lucky winner of this prize was Jo Balch, who has given to NPC in so many ways over the years. Among the vendors who contributed a variety of items or gift certificates to the raffle were the Outlet Store, Peppery, Perko’s, Applebee’s, Orchard Supply, Staples, Jeb’s, Save Mart, and KFC. We are certainly grateful for their assistance in making for an exciting raffle.

During the business meeting, Kathleen Morse was elected second vice president, Amy Hicks treasurer, and Carmel Peterson agreed to continue serving as membership chair. We are still in need of a secretary, and we hope that someone from our five-community service area will agree to accept that responsibility. Call Carmel at (209) 878-3134! Members need to remember to renew their membership by the end of the year; again, call Carmel.

NPC president Kara Middlebrooks shared with the membership that we spent $3,750 to redeem vouchers in 2014, while so far in 2015 we have already spent $8,795. That’s progress! However, we still have vouchers that go unclaimed each month. And we still have many cats and dogs that need to be spayed or neutered in order to drive down the number of unwanted pets in our communities. Spread the word—call our spay/neuter number: (209) 732-6194.

Thanks for your support of Northside Pet Connection.
