During September 2015, 420 residents were unemployed. A drop of 23.6% from September 2014 when 570 residents were unemployed.
The Leisure and Hospitality industry with 2,250 workers during September 2015 employed 110 fewer workers (-4.7%) than during August 2015 when 2,360 workers were in the industry. Compared to September 2014 the Leisure and Hospitality industry employed 100 fewer workers (-4.3%) when the industry employed 2,350 workers.
The Government employed 7.4% more workers during September 2015 (2,320) than in September 2014 when 2,160 people were employed in Government jobs.
Construction employment in September 2015 was up 20.0% over September 2014 with 180 employees compared to 150 during September 2014.
The Civilian Labor Force came in at 8,580 during September 2015. The Labor Force decreased by 110 (-1.3%) from September 2014 when the Labor Force was at 8,690.
There were 8,160 employees in the county during September 2015, an increase of 40 employees in the county over September 2014 when 8,120 residents were working in the county. That results in a year to year increase of .5%
