On September 30, 2023, at approximately 8:33 A.M., Merced Police Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of G Street for a report of a robbery. After a struggle Alamar took the victim’s purse and fled in his vehicle.
At approximately 1:00 P.M., Officers located Alamar driving the same vehicle traveling west on N.W. Bear Creek Drive from Mckee Road. As officers attempted to stop Alamar he sped off and a pursuit ensued. As Alamar turned South onto G Street, he threw a black bag containing a .22 caliber rifle out the window which officers recovered. The pursuit continued through East Merced and as officers attempted to set up a P.I.T. (Pursuit Intervention Technique) maneuver, Alamar turned and rammed the police vehicle.
Alamar’s vehicle came to a stop near East 21st Street and Keely Road, and he was taken into custody. Officers located additional ammunition and magazines inside of the vehicle belonging to the rifle that was thrown out.
