October 17, 2023 - Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that last week deputies executed a probation search and arrest warrant at a home on Atkinson Street, in unincorporated Roseville. Their operation uncovered significant findings.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home and contacted 46-year-old Sergio Vences, promptly placing him under arrest. During the arrest, deputies observed the presence of electronic scales, baggies, and a suspicious substance believed to be methamphetamine in plain view. A subsequent search of the home yielded a disturbing cache of illegal narcotics and related paraphernalia. Among the findings were over half an ounce of fentanyl, several ounces of methamphetamine, six electronic scales, several thousand plastic baggies intended for the packaging of narcotics, related paraphernalia, and an excess of $1,000 in cash.
Vences was arrested on several felony charges related to the purchase and possession of a controlled substance. This operation is just one example of PCSO’s ongoing commitment to public safety and the relentless pursuit of cleaning fentanyl off the streets.
