TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Ramp Closures Scheduled for November 5-11, 2023
November 3, 2023 - MERCED COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following ramp closures next week on State Route-99 (SR-99) for the Merced 99 Pavement Rehabilitation construction project. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

Motorists are urged to use extra caution and slow down to a maximum speed of 45 MPH in construction zones where barricaded and split lanes are in place. - Long-term, full closure of southbound SR-99 G Street Under-Crossing on-ramp for construction through November 30, 2023.
- Long-term full closure of southbound SR-99 16th Street Under-Crossing off-ramp for construction through November 6, 2023.
- Full on and ff-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at Childs Avenue Over-Crossing for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at SR-140/East Separation for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at SR-140/East Separation for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Monday, November 6, 2023, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at G Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at SR-59/Martin Luther King Jr. Way for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at R Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at SR-140/59 (V Street) for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at 16th Street for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at 16th Street for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at 16th Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at 16th Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Sunday, November 5, through Friday, November 10, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
