November 14, 2023 - Amador County Sheriff's Office officials report that on November 13, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 88 near Dew Drop Bypass in Pioneer, when he conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a silver Ford Explorer. 

As a result of his investigation and contact with the occupants, the deputy searched the vehicle and located a stolen handgun and ammunition.  During the search, the deputy also located over 62 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and evidence of drug sales.

59-year-old Raul Munoz of Clovis, California, was arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail for numerous firearm and drug related charges.
