November 29, 2023 - Fresno Police Department officials report that they have made two arrests for the murder of 61-year-old Patty Kennett.  54-year-old Lisa Hinthorne has been arrested for murder, and 33-year-old Glenn Howard has been arrested for being an accessory in the crime.

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Fresno Police Department was notified of a missing adult investigation. Family members of 61-year-old Patty Kennett were told that Patty had been injured in an accident while conducting yard work at a family member's residence. It was believed that Patty was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where she passed away from her injuries. Family members checked with local hospitals but were unable to find Ms. Kennett. As officers were investigating the initial report where Patty was allegedly injured and taken to a hospital, they found no previous calls to the Fresno Police Department or American Ambulance. Patty was entered into the Missing and Unidentified Person database due to the suspicious circumstances, and she was listed as a critical missing adult. Patty’s 2017 Infiniti coupe was also reported missing.

The Fresno Police Department Homicide Unit began an investigation and served a search warrant at the residence of 54-year-old Lisa Hinthorne. Hinthorne is Patty Kennett’s half-sister. Lisa Hinthorne was the last person seen with Patty before Patty disappeared. During the search warrant, detectives discovered a crime scene and other evidence, which indicated that Patty was a victim of foul play and was deceased. Video surveillance helped identify Lisa Hinthorne and a male, 33-year-old Glenn Howard, as the suspects in Patty’s death and disappearance.

On November 18, 2023, Homicide detectives located Patty’s car abandoned in the City of Madera. After processing the vehicle for evidence, detectives found the presence of blood in the trunk of the vehicle. Howard led detectives to Coalinga, where detectives discovered the body of Patty Kennett in a secluded area off Highway 198/Coalinga Mineral Springs Road. Patty Kennett’s death has been ruled a homicide by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. Glenn Howard was arrested on November 18, 2023, as an accessory to this murder.

On November 28, 2023, Lisa Hinthorne was officially arrested and charged with the murder of her sister, Patty Kennett. She was booked into the Fresno County Jail. Glenn Howard has been charged as an accessory to murder.
