UPDATED TRAFFIC ADVISORY
One-Way Traffic Control for December 3-9, 2023
December 1, 2023 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control this week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140, for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
- One-way traffic control from Shilling Road to Crown Lead Road for sign/banner work beginning Monday, December 4, through Thursday, December 7, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, December 8, 2023, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Smith Road to North State Route 140 for utility work beginning Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Old Highway 49 to State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Tuesday, December 5, through Thursday, December 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
STATE ROUTE 140

Full highway closure from Fifth Street to State Route 49 for special event on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Sixth Street to Twelfth Street for utility work beginning Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Triangle Road to Brice Burg for median barrier work beginning Sunday, December 3, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- One-way traffic control from Brice Burg to El Portal Road for median barrier work beginning Monday, December 3, through Friday, December 8, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
