Mariposa County Human Services is developing a variety of programs to help our community members get in and stay in safe and affordable housing.  Some of these programs include:

• The Housing Authority will soon be releasing Housing Choice Vouchers (formerly known as Section 8). Mariposa County Human Services would like to support and help guide landlords through the Section 8 process, as well as help to your tenant to be successful in maintaining their housing. There are many benefits associated with the Section 8 Program and we would like to support you in accessing them!
  
  
• CalWORKS Housing Support Programs: We are working to stabilize Mariposa County families in homes. Our team will work closely with the family and landlord, providing rental support, financial assistance to the landlord to help with repair costs, and supportive services to the families to aid in their success.
  
  
• Transitional Housing Programs: We are looking for landlords to partner with us to house transitional housing program participants for a period of up to 24 months. The County would be the responsible payer, providing support and guidance to the tenant. Should landlords experience problems with the tenant, Human Services will intervene.

We would like for you to know that along with benefits like guaranteed rent, landlords could also receive assistance from Human Services in the following areas:

• Landlord support through risk management, mediation and incentive programs.
  
  
• Financial incentives to refurbish your rental properties.
  
  
• Help with intervening when tenants are not abiding by the lease agreements.
