12/23/23 Update Per Placer County Sheriff's Office: Mr. Massei was located deceased on Saturday. Condolences go out to the family for their loss. 

At-Risk Missing Person 

December 20, 2023 - Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that on December 17, 2023, at 5:00 a.m., Timothy Massei walked away from his home in Foresthill. He is a 67-year-old white male, 5’10”, 240 pounds with green eyes and gray hair.

Timothy was last seen wearing denim jeans, two light colored jackets with a vest and a tan colored beanie with a headlamp over the beanie. He does not have his wallet or cell phone on him. He is at-risk and there is concern with the inclement weather.

Deputies have been working with the family over the last couple of days attempting to locate Timothy and are continuing to work with them and are exhausting all investigative leads. His family believes he may have been walking to Auburn.
