Homicide Arrest Made in Lincoln Case 

December 29, 2023 - Placer County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 1st, 2023, around 6:00 P.M., Placer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 1100-block of Fox Lane in Lincoln, for a report of a deceased male. Deputies arrived at the scene and located an unresponsive male inside his home, who appeared to have suffered from several gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 44-year-old Jimmie Wiedeman.

After a lengthy investigation, detectives from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Persons Unit arrested 63-year-old Eric Olsen for the January 1st, 2023, murder of Jimmie Wiedeman in the unincorporated area of Lincoln, CA. Eric Olsen was arrested on Thursday in El Dorado County with the assistance of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.
