January 10, 2024 - National Weather Service Hanford Office officials report a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Sierra Nevada and higher foothill locations from 10:00 A.M. Wednesday through 4:00 A.M. Thursday.
Expect total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches in the highest elevations and 4 to 8 inches above 3,000 feet.
A dusting up to an inch of snow as low as 2,000 feet by late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
Winds gusting as high as 65 mph along the Sierra Nevada crest.

Snow levels lower to 2,500 feet Wednesday evening, and as low as 2,000 feet during the overnight hours into Thursday morning. * WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 4 AM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible with slick and snow-covered roads. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage in some areas, such as near the Sierra Nevada crest.
