Dear Community of Mariposa,

On behalf of Soroptimist International of Mariposa, I want to send a Big THANK YOU to all of you who helped make this year’s 2nd Annual Soroptimist Halloween Candy Drive a success. We collected over $450.00 and 3 tubs of bagged candy.  Pioneer Market donated six cases of candy and sold us candy at cost.  Thirty-one homes sent-in candy request forms and we were able to provide each participating home with over fifteen pounds of assorted goodies. 

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the trick-or-treating children of Mariposa County had lots of goodies this year! 

The following helped Soroptimist by having a collection box, a cash jar or both at their location or business: Ace Hardware, Bootjack Market, Donuts A Go-Go, Gazette Office, Government Center, Happy Burger Diner, Human Services, Midpines Market, Oasis Market, Pioneer Market, Pizza Factory, Sal’s, Sportsman Café, Starchman & Bryant Law Offices, and Triangle Market. Thanks also to Airport Inn for its cash donation and Coast Hardware for its candy donation.  Lastly, thank you to the Ladies of Soroptimist who helped sort, bag and deliver the candy, and to Joy Shultz who delivered the flyers and boxes.
