Butane Honey Oil Lab in Residential Neighborhood, 2 Arrests
January 18, 2024 - Kern County Sheriff's Office officials report that on January 16, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Green Street and Clay Mine Road in Edwards, CA. When deputies arrived, they located 2 subjects running into a residence on the 19000 block of Green Street. While conducting their investigation they located an active Butane Honey Oil (BHO) lab on the property in a residential neighborhood.
KC-HIDTA responded and dismantled the BHO lab. Approximately 1,800 pounds of marijuana and 10 pounds of BHO wax were seized and a stolen vehicle was recovered.
The 2 subjects, Jaydon Winston, age 23 and Gage Dworniczak, age 23, were arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sale, maintaining a residence for the illegal sales of drugs, cultivation of marijuana, and conspiracy.
