January 19, 2024 - Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that property crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office have arrested 35-year-old Ross George on two felony counts of commercial burglary. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail. His bail is $10,000.

On November 28, 2023, a commercial burglary took place at the Big Potato Market located at 6947 S. Elm Ave. in Easton. Multiple boxes of cigarettes were stolen and hundreds of dollars in damage was caused.

On December 3, 2023, a commercial burglary occurred at the Chevron gas station located at 2307 W. Tahoe Ave. in Caruthers. Multiple boxes of cigarettes and cash were taken. The store was also vandalized, causing hundreds of dollars in damage.

Detectives developed evidence to show these two crimes were connected. They ultimately served search warrants, which lead to the arrest of Ross George.
