January 28, 2024 - Placer County Sheriff's Office officials report that the suspect in Friday's incident involving California State Parks has been identified as 29-year-old Vinton Miller, who was staying in the Tahoe area on a work visa from Jamaica.
We are still actively investigating this case and will continue to release further information as the investigation continues.
