February 1, 2024 - Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 30, 2024, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Kern County Public Health conducted an undercover operation at Heavenly Massage located at 10530 Rosedale Highway. Over the last several months, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Public Health have received numerous complaints about the massage facility being involved in prostitution.

At the conclusion of the operation, the following two women were cited and released for misdemeanor county ordinance violations and solicitation of prostitution:

KARINA DIAZ CORREA (38-years-old) from Bakersfield, CA, and YUANJUN YAN (35-years-old) from West Covina, CA were cited for a violation of Penal Code 647(b)-Prostitution.

Additionally, CORREA and YAN were in violation of numerous County Ordinances. Public Health took administrative action and issued a notice to Heavenly Massage facility notifying them that they were in violation of the County Ordinance and must close immediately.

This operation was conducted under the Kern County Ordinance whereby Public Health regulates massage establishments to ensure they maintain a safe and sanitary environment as well as establish reasonable standards to reduce the opportunity for acts of prostitution and human trafficking to occur. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Kern County Public Health will continue to work together and investigate all complaints and reports of suspected or known prostitution and/or human trafficking activities in massage establishments.

Anyone who suspects illicit activity at a massage facility is asked to call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at (661) 861-3110, the Secret Witness Hotline at (661) 322-4040, or Kern County Public Health at (661) 321-3000.
