Homicide Investigation 

February 8, 2024 – Merced - Merced Police Department officials report that on February 7, 2024, at 5:06 A.M. (0506 hours) Officers responded to a report of several shots heard in the area of Denver Way and Frankfort Ct.  Upon arrival they were directed to a residence where an unresponsive male was suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim died on scene.

Officers learned quickly of another male victim who fled to a nearby house and was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was located and is being treated at a nearby hospital. As of now no motive has been established.  Merced Police Department Detectives are Investigating.
